Broccoli microgreens are the young, tender shoots of broccoli plants that are harvested a few days after the first leaves appear. They are a nutritious addition to salads, sandwiches, and smoothies. 
 
Appearance: 
Small and delicate, about 1–3 inches tall
Have a few small green leaves at the top
Have mild, white stems and dark green leaves
Taste: 
Have a fresh, mildly peppery flavor
Some describe the taste as slightly nutty or earthy, with a hint of sweetness
Have a crisp, slightly crunchy texture
